It would be selfish of me not to share all of the great things about this beautiful area that we now call home! From amazing restaurants to cute boutiques and favorite parks, I’m sharing some of my favorites!
Stuart, Florida
The Sailfish capital of the world! If you love fishing, this is apparently the place to be, and with gorgeous views like this who wouldn’t want to sit all day and let the fish nibble!
While fishing is great and all, I’m more of a shopping kind of girl and downtown Stuart is the place to browse. One of my favorite shops is April Daze Boutique. It has everything from gifts and jewelry to clothes and shoes. Here are a few pictures from their Instagram so you can see all the cuteness!
We all know how hungry and thirsty we get when we shop, so stopping by Spritz City Bistro while in downtown Stuart is a must! Their selection of tapas is so vast and yummy, it’s hard to decide on just a few. Look at all of this yumminess:
Now that you are all salivating, let’s move onto some of my favorite parks in the area. There are so many great parks that you could literally go to a different park every day for 3 weeks. However, I think my favorite is Sewall’s Point Park. It is right on the water and the playground is great for all ages. It has a sandbox in addition to a small beach so pack a picnic and enjoy the beautiful views. Your kiddos will love it!
My other favorite park is the Kiwanis Park close to downtown. It’s a large enough park so there are several different play areas and much of it is shaded. And the best part is that the train pass
es nearby and if you have little boys or big boys (aka Daddy’s), that is a Big deal!
And let’s not forget to mention the amazing beaches in this area. There are numerous beaches in the area, but we like the one’s that have nice restrooms and Food- LOL! Jensen Beach has a cafe so no man or woman or child will go hungry or thirsty! and of course, the kiddos can get ice cream. Stuart Beach’s cafe is supposed to be opening soon, so that will be just like Jensen so you don’t have to worry about lugging all the food and snacks to the beach. Let’s be honest it is no small feat to get to the beach especially with kids so the less you have to carry the better!
We understand Bathtub Reef Beach is one of the best. The reef breaks the waves and makes the water nice and calm – ideal for little ones who love to splash and play. And the water is well, you guessed it, like bathwater!!! Unfortunately, it has been closed for beach renourishment since we got here. But I understand it should be opening again soon and we can’t wait!
Ok, so that is a very short wrap-up of places and things we have explored on this beautiful Treasure Coast of Florida. Next up, some of my favorite Jupiter, Florida spots!
